Meet Sam and Boomer
Sam
Sam began his career as a martial artist and personal trainer before transitioning into the dog food industry, where he worked for nearly a decade. During this time, he discovered his passion for working with dogs, especially in helping his colleagues with their own.
This sparked years of dedicated study with various training schools and the opportunity to shadow legendary dog trainers, ultimately leading to the founding of The Good Dog School.
Sam is a Professional Dog Training Instructor with The Guild of Dog Trainers.
As well as training dogs Sam also volunteers as a Search And Rescue Dog Handler.
Boomer
Since so many people ask about him, Boomer gets his own section!
Abused and abandoned at just seven months old, Boomer was adopted by Sam and given a second chance. While he had behavioural challenges to overcome, he was always a good dog in the making. With patience, dedication, and plenty of love, Sam helped him work through everything.
Just a few months after settling into his new home, Boomer passed his temperament and obedience test, allowing him to begin training as a Search and Rescue Dog.
Fast forward 18 months, and Boomer made history by becoming the first American Bulldog in the world to qualify as a fully certified Search Dog. Today, he works alongside the police, helping to locate vulnerable missing people.
