What I Do
If you're here, you've probably already tried everything.
The trainers. The videos. The advice from people who've never met a dog like yours. And you're still living with a dog that frightens you, that can't be walked, that's hurt someone, or that's turned your own home into somewhere you feel on edge.
This is for that dog.
I work with the cases most trainers won't take on. Dogs written off as too aggressive, too reactive, too far gone. Owners who've been told there's nothing more to be done, and who aren't ready to give up without being sure.
I won't promise you an overnight fix, and I'll never lie to you about what's possible. What I will do is look honestly at what's driving your dog's behaviour, tell you the truth about it, and give you a real plan built around your dog and your life, not a generic obedience script.
I take on a small number of these cases at a time, because they need proper attention and I'm not interested in doing it any other way. That's why I work by application rather than booking. It lets me understand what you're dealing with before we speak, and be straight with you about whether I'm the right person to help.

Meet Sam and Boomer
Sam
I'm Sam, a qualified Professional Dog Training Instructor with The Guild of Dog Trainers and a member of the International Association of Canine Professionals (IACP). My background spans almost a decade in the dog food industry, years shadowing respected trainers, and hands-on work with dogs of every breed and temperament, including the ones most people struggle with.
I'm also a former operational Search and Rescue K9 handler. Those are real working dogs, trained to stay reliable and switched-on while searching for vulnerable missing people, often in chaotic, high-pressure, high-distraction environments where there's no room for behaviour to fall apart. Building that kind of reliability, in exactly the conditions that unravel most dogs, is what I do.
That's the difference. Getting a dog to behave in a quiet room is easy. Getting one to hold it together on a busy street, around other dogs, or in the situations that currently frighten you is a different job, and it's the one I'm built for. The same clear, honest, results-focused principles I used with working dogs are the foundation of everything I do with the dogs I take on now.
Boomer
Meet Boomer, my Scott-type American Bulldog and retired Search Dog.
I adopted Boomer at eight months old, after he'd been abused and then abandoned. He was exactly the kind of dog people give up on, a difficult start, a bull breed, a reputation to overcome. I didn't rehabilitate him with anything quick. It was consistent training, clear structure and a lot of patience, the same things I'll ask of you.
He came through it into a confident, capable dog, and then went further than anyone expected. Boomer made history as the first American Bulldog in the world to qualify as a fully certified Search Dog. He worked as my SAR K9, the two of us searching for vulnerable missing people alongside the police, before we both retired from operational work.
These days he works alongside me in a different way. Boomer helps settle excitable young dogs, gives nervous dogs the confidence to be braver, and keeps older dogs social and engaged. His steady temperament makes him a role model the dogs I train can learn from, and having him there helps many of them progress faster than they would with me alone.
